    Ray Christopher

Does anyone know how to reach Ray Christopher? I understand he may have records from GTD. I am trying to find out if and when my car #GTD4004489 was built at the factory or how it came to the US. Thanx Sam

    GTD records

Gordy, It is good to hear from you. The Michigan title read "1965 Ford", the title guys in NC put it "1965 Ford Replica" which is causing the export problem. So from what I have learned this is the 44th chassis build in 89. Malcolm, I am hoping to prove that it was built in England. If any...

    GTD records

I have GTD frame number GTD4004489. I understand that it was built by the factory in 1991 (?). I have the car for sale by a broker (DC Classic Cars). I have had inquiries from Europe and Canada. The North Carolina title reads 1965 Ford Replica. The replica part causes problems for export. I was...

    Original GT40 - ?

Holman & Moody in Charlotte NC built some cars in the day. Holman is still around I think. A few years ago I went to his shop. He had two original cars bodies on stands. He said he would build me one race ready for $500,000.

    New MK4s

Yes the red one is @ Oltoff's Superformance. The yellow one is at Kenny's shop. He was firing up the 600hp 427 for the first time. He is also converting an original GT Can-Am car to a MK4. The day I took my GT40 to Olthoff's dyno there where 5 GT40's at least 6 Cobras and an original MK4 and...

    New MK4s

Kenny Thompson of Denver NC spent 7 years building plans built GT40 MK4s. These are amazing, down to the last rivet. All have 427 big block. He even used glued up aluminum honey comb and stick aluminum welding. Even the the front and rear spindle uprights where recast. One is a Breadwagon that...

    GTD fuel quantity sending unit

My own update: Since I could not get a good OHM check on the sending unit I opened it up. The slide and the resistant wires looked OK, I checked the ohms there and they where good, approx 20 full & 250 empty. Finally I took the blade connector that is on the bottom side of the attaching plate...

    GTD fuel quantity sending unit

The right tank was showing empty when it was at least half full. I took the unit out. If I held the power lead to ground the gauge went up. I cleaned the ground connection real good and it now seems to work. Back to basics.

    GT-40 on dyno

Tom, Good eye! It was running rich in the mid range. They made a change to the jets and that cleared it up. It also added 15 hp. Last pull was 413 hp @ 6000 and 436 ft/lbs @ 4200 Sam

    GT-40 on dyno

Robert, The dyno is in North Carolina, near Salisbury. Superformance/ Olthof Racing. You should see this place. There where 5 GT-40s (plus mine), 3 Daytona coupes and 6+ Cobras there in various stages of maintenance. They have a just completed EXACT recreation of a 427 Mark IV. Sounds mean...
