016 to 01E Gearbox Help

I’m changing the gearbox in my RF #103 from Audi 016 to a 01E and need assistance. The the 016 cv joints are 930 type with OD 108mm and I would like to continue using this setup. The 016 output shafts will interchange to the 01E which would allow this, however I hope someone has performed this conversion and can advise me concerning axle shaft length required as the 01E is offset requiring a shorter axle on one side. The other option is to leave the standard 01E output drivers and purchase adaptors which may require completely different axle lengths.
Would greatly appreciate any help!

If your current axles are the right length for the short side you can make an adapter/spacer for the other side to make up the difference in length.
