Just fell backwards into this forum and saw your thread from way back in Oct 2010. You were wondering if 1A55MONOB66 still exists. Well, in case you're still wondering, yeah, it's still around. I know because I had a most terrifiying ride in it. A few years back, I was a writer for a national car magazine in Canada and I found this GT40 in the Maritime Provinces. I was set up to go for a drive in it followed by a photo shoot. The driver was instructed to pretend to not know how to drive and behaved like a total klutz, not being able to find reverse, not modulating the clutch properly etc.... A drive down Main Street was uneventful but then he turned onto a main trunk leading out of town. Ever see Star Trek when they put their foot into the space craft and the stars stretch out with the acceleration? Well I saw that! Turns out the young driver was a highly talented racer and he showed me what he was capable of in the corners. UNBELIEVABLE! Anyway, the car was recently sold, don't know where it went, but if you Google GT40 and the serial number, you'll find it. I have a framed photo of it on my wall.
Cheers....
