It looks like a pretty old design pan - not sure if you are looking for "Correct" or just period or...
For my purposes - I wanted something that was period correct, looked reasonably good, functional and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
I bought one of these:
eBay Motors: 1965 1966 1967 SHELBY COBRA 289 302 ENGINE OIL PAN (item 130109509759 end time May-13-07 18:46:50 PDT)
Now they list the depth as 7-3/8" and I have been told that my RCR will accept one that is 7-1/2" deep. I figured I was good to go..
Got the pan and made the following observations;
1) VERY heavy - actually more heavy than a steel pan of similar design.
2) Casting quality is fair to good.
3) Drain plug is on the bottom rather than at the rear of the sump but there is a boss that can be drilled and tapped.
4) The trap doors inside are a joke. There are no hinges, just heavy wire running through the trap door and through casted mounting points in the pan.
5) The true depth of the pan (inside is 7-1/2") - Outside it is 8" deep. That means it will hang down below the floor-pan of my car.
I'll use it but I'm not totally happy with my choice.
