351 heads on a 302?

Am I right in thinking that a pair of aluminium 351W heads will fit ok on a 302 engine?

Careful though. Compression goes way down w/the 351 Windsor heads. Still better flow from the new aluminum heads. If you need to re-work a pair of iron windsor's, you may find it cheaper to get a set of aluminum Ford heads. They are pretty good deals now.

You will also need spacers on the head bolts/studs as the 302 has threads for 7/16" and 351 heads have 1/2" holes. These are plentiful and not expensive though; not something to worry about, but just be aware of. Studs are the better way to go, BTW.
