Nice modeling on the mirrors and scoop. I'm seeing some lack of smoothing on the scoop, this is usually a result of restricting your data when exporting the stl from your CAD. Up the resolution on export, your printer is usually 0.2mm or so resolution. Bigger file but who cares. Save you some time and bondo.

Thanks... No bondo needed as I'm using fairing compound. The fairing compound sands much more like the fiberglass thus making the job easier. The 3D print will be the internal mold for the fiberglass part. I'm going to fiberglass over the top of this along with a gelcoat exterior surface and then sand it out. This scoop shape is the first iteration just to see if I liked the shape. I plan to totally recreate the surfacing in 3D space and then 3D print an exterior mold that will mold to the existing SL-C body. Thanks for the tip about smoothing though. Thanks for the comments on the side mirror as well.

When you are done and you have leftovers I would like to discuss buying one (the scoop). I am ok with the first one. It looks perfect to me. I would more than likely just run it as is with a coat of paint. A way to get rid of the leftovers and recoup some expenses, if you will.

By the way, how do you envision attaching it to the body?

Your timeline. I'm not in any hurry.

I worked a bit more on the roof scoop shape. The part has a base flange that is intended to be cut into the main body.

I also confirmed the template for the rear window and am creating my own rear window opening panels. I’m kicking around ideas now.

The new side mirror shape is out of the tooling now as well. I’ve been working on the SL-C quite a bit.
