Well last week at the GT40 meeting at Silvermere a few of us were kicking around the idea of doing a "European tour" and putting some miles on our cars.
then there was some debate if we should put the cars on the train for the trip Germany to Italy and back
Well I had a play on Google maps today (work was slow!)
How about a tour of some tracks (past and present) and places in Europe - get onto the tracks if we can - photo oppertunities etc?
All up in the air at present but berhaps time to put on my organising hat again and see what can be sorted
Any way
How about "Le Grand Tour?"
Ferry to Calais
Spa 3h20m 346km
Nurbergring 1h41m 110km
Hockenheim 2h17 214km
Imola 7h55m 832km
Marinello 1h08m 93km
Monaco 4h21 433km
Barcelona 6h29m 683km
Pau 5h24 583km
Fay De Bretagne 6h17m 569km
Le Mans Bugati 2h21m 211km
Magne Curse 3h42 340km
Calais 5h21 562km
Total 50 hours 4976km
Google maps also says Approx fuel Eur 750.53 so About Eur1100 for a GT40
So a tour of about 2 weeks good roads (some of the time) nice hotels over night, good food etc.
And to visualise it below is a possible route map!
