Another newbie from Texas

I bought a 1966 Mark1 replica, and finished the build. Have no idea which manufacture made this kit, or when. It has a VIN 4F28GT40######. Here are some pics. ED3DBC22-7820-4478-9653-FFD88F97C2B4.jpegED3DBC22-7820-4478-9653-FFD88F97C2B4.jpeg

Welcome to GT40S Cletus. I’m viewing on a phone currently, but can’t see enough of it to make a identification. Post more pictures up, including detailed chassis photos and maybe someone can help out.

Looks like the Lonestar LS40?
They may have had other models, but the one LoneStar LS40 I saw had a Ford Focus engine/transaxle in a Focus cradle bolted in from the bottom. You had to take the rear window out to check the oil.

I remember seeing that in Kit Car mag when it first came out and immediately my eyes were drawn to the windshield pillars and how wrong that looked to me. When looking at what to buy last year, I saw CAV also looked slightly off in the same area. Once I researched the whole thing how the KVA/GTD ect ect bodies were done and made it around the world, examined a Tornado closely, I then made the decision to do get a Bill Hough body and drop it on a Southern GT frame. But you know I am still amazed at how some Fiero rebodies can fool you from a distance and I am weirdly intrigued by Valkyrie's because its one person's eye making an interpretation as no two people doing those drunken painting with a twist, come out with what he original artist rendition. In the end it is about having fun with with what you create.

Looks like a T-3 Motorsports replica...they were based out of CO about 20yr ago.

Used a 90s Thunderbird IRS rear uprights...the body was so so on actually replicating the portions and dimensions. Here is a similar one that sold at Mechums

Good concept and almost bought one but the body wasn’t close enough for my liking but definitely would be a nice entry to the replica car hobby! Congrats and welcome Cletus!
