Got an early Viper ( 2001 ) in the shop with a failed power steering, any pointers ? Frank

I will have to go to my shop and pull my 2001 Viper shop manual to take a look. Did the pump run dry? Under high demand, such as on the track, the PS cap can "blow", leaving a mess at the least or a flaming heap at the worst. There was a cap tie down fix but it's been some years since I've had the Viper. The pulley can break as well. If you can't get the answer this weekend, I will get to the shop and try to photo a few pages for you.
