They are supposedly ex-Gordon Gimble. He is a well known character and a friend of mine. For years he vintage raced the #52 289 Cobra at Monterey; his wife Nancy (RIP) raced the ex-Dan Gurney Pacesetter Ford Lotus 19. He has owned a bunch of genuine Cobras and Shelbys over the years. He lives in the Sacramento CA area.

So if their provenance is true, they are genuine.
