NRG SRK-400BK THIN VERSION STEERING WHEEL QUICK RELEASE KIT
1/4 INCH THICK ALUM. MACHINED ROUND , DRILLED TO MOUNT TO THE STEERING WHEEL AND 1/2 OF THE QUICK RELEASE.

A THICKER PIECE OF ALUM MACHINED TO BOLT TO STEERING HUB AND THE OTHER 1/2 OF THE QUICK RELEASE.

Hi Walt, turns out I found a MOMO long hub(deformable) which fits the steering column shaft and a standard 6 hole steering wheel which would attach to the NRG SRK-400 without an adapter. This may be a good solution since it is shorter than most quick release hubs. How do you like it? Is it solid with no play? Easy to remove and put back on?

VERY TIGHT WITH NO PLAY.. I FEEL SAFE AT A CAR SHOW THAT NO ONE WILL STEEL MY STEERING WHEEL , IT DOES NOT FUNCTION LIKE THE TYPICAL QUICK RELEASE. YOU FIRST DEPRESS A SMALL BUTTON THEN ROTATE THE RELEASE RING. THE RING ROTATION IS SLIGHTLY STIFF.. NO RATTLES, NO PLAY...

I am planning to purchase these 2 items which from a Brand perspective are well respected. But....before I hit the Purchase button, I wanted to get your expert opinions:

Are there any know issues with either of these two fitting / working together and fitting well within the SLC?

Those two products will work fine together, You will also need an NRG short hub which connects the steering column to the QR. I saw this part number(SRK 170H) listed in another thread as the one to get. Someone should be able to confirm this hub will fit the Olds steering column which is what is used in the SLC.

Actually I looked on NRG's web site for the short hubs and they list only the NRG - SRK 170H for "ALL Oldsmobile Vehicles". Here is the link:
