Body Gap size

Basicaly, depends on your wishes.
Building a showcar or period correct racecar.
From all the GT40's I photographed at the international historic races (Netherlands, Belgium, UK, France, Germany) I visited the last 5 years (to get a reference for my build).
Non of the gaps are the same or equal, not even on the same GT40.
Not even the fittings of the top of the doors.
My paintshop wanted 1/4 atleast as the fibreglass body will deform in the sun.

No trailer or garage queen here,none of my cars are lol our painter said were the top of the door swings in and goes past the top of the scuttle will set the gap for the rest of the car, because that’s the tightest spot you can have once you have set that and the rest of the car will fall in,if you can understand that
Just measured and gaps are about 6mm
I think that’s close to 1/4,it seems like that’s a good gap

Very nice.I think that gap(1/4) is perfect any smaller I’d think is a problem. what is on the bottom of door?
