Welcome Bruce.

There is a lot of good info here, additionally there are many, many different ways to do a "40".

Take your time, look at the old threads, feel free to ask questions.

Enjoy and good luck!

Thanks for the feedback Jim. One big delema I have is whether or not to sell or keep a Roush engine I have. It's still in the crate. If I sell it, I can use the $ to help fund the build. Or keep it for the build. That's why I'm interested in all the different opinions that are posted.

Thanks again for the mail!

"A bird in the hand..."

I'd keep the Roush if it's the actual engine you want to have in the car. Any engine you order later might cost you more (inflation, blah, blah)...not to mention having to pay the freight again to get it to you. IOW, it's the ole "You can pay me NOW, or you can pay me later" thing.

'Just my unsolicited $.02.

(Edit: And remember, if you were to sell your current crate engine, you probably wouldn't get what you paid for it [for various reasons]. So, you'd need to add that $$$ loss to the mix as well.)

What model Roush motor is it, would it work in a GT40?
It's an all aluminum 8 stack fuel injected 427 small block. I was building a street rod. It has a front runner system. I'm sure changes have to be made in order for it to work. Hence my delema. Too nice of an engine to start a bunch of changes.
