CAV Dealer in Virginia...

I have accepted an offer to become the CAV Virginia dealer. I have received the first car which will act as a demonstrator. A couple of shots are provided here:

In the coming weeks the website will be significantly expanded. This vehicle includes the following options: Gulf flares, periscope scoops and oval holed vents; A/C, leather, and a full removable roll cage including down tubes in the engine compartment. The car should be driveable by early January.

The engine is being built by Keith Craft and includes a Dart 351W block, AFR 205 heads, 4340 crank and rods, 4.125" x 4" 427 CI, hyd roller cam (282 HR), Victor jr. intake and Demon carb. Will upgrade to EFI next summer.

Transaxle will either be a ZF or RBT-6.

Sounds like you have a monster powertrain in the works. Congrats!

 

That is one nice looking car. I am assuming it is the car on cavgt.com's website. What rim and tire sizes are on it?

It currently has PS Engineering Wheels, 17x8 front and 17x12.5 rear. Tires are Michelin Pilot sports 245/45-17 front and 335/35-17 rear.

Man that looks and sounds like my vision of my car. The color scheme is almost exact. The color isn't Bright Atlantic Blue is it? Silver stripes? Dart block with EFI. Great minds must think alike is all I can say. Ron Earp was over here just the other evening and I was telling him I wanted to build a Dart block engine. You guys beat me to the color scheme, so I guess I'll have to do the Gulf style smile on the front end and lower the rocker stripes a little. I won't have snorkels either, so there will be some differentiation

Bottom line, the car is Schweeeet!

The paint codes are as follows:
Main paint: PPG 19282 (1996 Viper GTS Blue)
Stripes: PPG 5787 (2002 Mazda, Sunlight Silver Metalic)

It was a bit difficult to find blue and silvers that "go together." The blue has a lot of pearl and metalic and I needed to find a silver that would "light up" the same as the blue does in sunlight. They work well. In the shade the blue looks relatively deep and the silver looks more gray. In the sun they both really shine.

If you want any details of the engine build let me know. I will post HP/TQ figures from KC when I get them.
