Wife and I will get there Friday Night after work, Grandstand T15-3, Row 9, seats 3 & 4 on Saturday.

We drove on that highway (130?)from Austin to San Antonio a couple of days after the GP in November. What made it real fun was that I was driving my son's 2013 Boss 302.

It's a big place, so we will need to find a conspicuous location to gather.

I'm thinking about driving the SLC down. 500+ miles though ouch. i diodnt get a trailer for xmas, coal again...

Our seats are on the side next to the arena where they do the music events. We could meet at the pond, but that is pretty big if you don't know who you are looking for. Anyone have an "SLC" flag banner?

Maybe if we meet in the cactus patch? Not too many people would stop there! :stunned: We could also try to meet at the base of the tower. Or maybe the fence-line between GS12 and GS15?

How about if I send you guys a PM with my cell phone and we can coordinate a meeting location during the day at the track? I show a break in the racing activity between 12:40 and 1:45 if anyone is up for introductions and a beer on me. I would enjoy meeting SLC owners. Please let me know if this works for you.

BTW, I got my tickets via FedEx today. We're good to go!

Back from COTA. Quite a wind-chill in the grandstands! Met Ryan Ellis and his father and had a nice chat. Ryan is really complimentary of the SLC. So here are some photos:

glad you got to meet Ryan, for a young guy he is a great driver and a real class act...

The seat in your pic 3 looks similar to the stock SLC one....the DP cars are quite a bit larger than the SLC aren't they

That interior pic is from the Gainsco DP. Cam and I walked the paddock and Pits for those other Grand AM "behind the scenes" photos. I have a ton of "action" photos so I'll be adding some more.

Very unlike Formula One.....you can walk right up to the crews and cars.

Cam and I were actually impressed with the many similarities between the SLC and DPs (well....they do have a few more dollars into their cars....their transaxles probably cost more than most of our cars). Ryan did say that there are opportunities to take your SLC onto the Circuit! BTW he finished a respectable 11th. His Mazda has to be the heaviest and has the aero of a brick! To qualify 4th and to run in 2nd before some unfortunate pit delays is saying something for this young guy!
