We just got back home from Austin. My son Tyler raced in The Lone Star Grand Prix- a shifter kart race through the streets of Lockhart Texas. It was 15-20 miles from the big boy race at Circuit of the Americas. The track looked amazing even from the highway.

He put it in the wall in qualifying. Dang it. Started the main in 21st and moved up to 7th. Lost a reed with 1/4 of a lap to go and had two guys pass him. Still improved more positions than anyone. Now if we can get him to qualify with bending something.

Fran- he needs to be driver #2 with the SLC in endurance events...

He needs to be able to beat out some pretty serious DP and Grand Am drivers first....as we have a waiting list of guys wanting to run in the SLC 01

Probably it would .....

Ryan is a very good driving coach too...with 500 plus races under his belt he knows a thing or two about driving

I agree with Doc, its amazing the access they give you to these cars. you could climb in/under them, very cool. Its also intersting to see the car that most resembles the slc in construction is racing DP. Awesome track too...
