Ford Coyote 5.0 to Audi 01E

Just curios if anyone has considered this let alone gone this route.

I know that Tornado plans to offer a Coyote to UN1 bell housing, but I am not interested in that transaxle as, by what I have gathered here, the Audi appears to be the better unit especially at the cost at which it can be obtained.

Anyone know of someone who either has done this or how difficult it would be to do?

The Coyote 5.0 uses the same pattern as the Ford 4.6L I believe.

The kit manufacturer is steering me away from the Audi toward the Renault saying that the Audi unit's use would force the engine to be mounted too high. Does anyone know if this can be circumvented?

From the research I have done. it sure looks like the Audi 6 speed 01E unit is superior to the Renault UN1.

Unless they are running the UN1 upside down I don't see how there can be much difference. With a stock depth oil pan you should be able to mount the engine with the pan level with the bottom of the frame with either transmision.
