Ford GT at local car show

I was at a local car show and happen to run in to the owner of one of the early Ford GTs(low #200s). He and we got to talking about my replica and his GT. He was not that familiar with the originals nor the replicas. I got some teally good shots of the things I was interested in and I thought I would share a couple of them. The Ford Insignia is shown here with my hand as a reference for size. I have also been interested in the splitters that they use for keeping the rear end glued to the asphalt. I don't know if you can get a good reference from this shot as I shot it blind(getting too old to crawl around on the ground anymore). I am also interested in the latch mechanism as the ones I have seen, even on the originals looked a little bulky to me. So I have been interested in a less bulky design and I think th new GT has it perfected. Anyway, here are some of the pics I got. They aren't your usual pics of this car.
The owner and I got along well and we probably will get together again as he lives in the next county. We may have to get his car, mine(hopefuloly finished this fall), and the 66 road car together for a photo shoot. Wouldn't that be neat.
