G50/ls1

We have now fitted my LS1 to G50 gearbox. We had some initial problems with the mounting plate. We also changed the gearbox tail to an earlier shorter version.

Is their any data on the plane alignment of the gears? We are working on the gear-linkage.

Define the "plane alignment of the gears"?

I assume you mean aligning the shifter assembly as you mentioned that you are working on the shift assembly.

“The shift pattern comprises four planes: instead of being located in the same plane as 5th gear, the reverse position is in a plane on its own, at the extreme left and forward of the gate”

As I stated we fitted the G50-10 to my Chevy LS1 (If some one could send me a PM on how to post photos Is will post some shots)

We have inverted the box with the selector shaft uppermost. . The only information a have found on the shift pattern I have listed above.

We are looking for details on the shift pattern so we can make the gearshift.

The total cost of the instillation has worked out around 30% of the cost of an uprated Renault UN1 .
