GT40 Haiku

I thought I would re-post here some Haiku I composed on another message board. As you probably know, Haiku is a beautiful, unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively. I'm sure that our artistic forum members can compose world-class GT40 Haiku, so lets hear it...

Smoldering drill bit
Alloy panel meets chassis
Fistful of clecoes

Must finish panels
Bolt-on goodies await me
In the next chapter

I toil each weekend
This is taking forever
Youth flees while I build

Neal

Lifetime Supporter
Cool beer in one hand
MIG welder in the other
What was I doing?

Plenty of odd tasks
To be completed today
Never enough time

Well spent time today
Means enjoyment tomorrow
Life with a forty

There was a tall guy named Gordy,
that thought he would ride in a 40.
When he shut the door,
his head was no more.
Now he is known simply as Shorty.

Oops, that's a limerick.

This part does not fit
That which was installed before
Must be moved again

A small movement here
Creates disharmony there
Body fitting sucks

Vast sums of cash gone
Robert Logan is to blame
This I now accept

Fuel system complete
Until comprehension dawns
Tanks are in the way

In early RFs
The buggered wiring harness
Does not pug and play

A thousand drilled holes
Way too many fasteners
Which ones have I torqued?

Boxes full of junk
I wonder what this part is?
Only time will tell

5-speed box in hand
But the 6-speed is stronger
That will have to wait

Chrome suspension bits
Stack EFI with Motec
My ride has been pimped

How about:

Time you spent on poetry
Garage you should be
GT40 you would have

couldn't resist a bad Haiku! :D

Levers, screws and springs
That door hardware you don't see
The bane of my build

Hard lines plumbed with grace
At last I've mastered this skill
With none left to do

Four years on jack stands
She will soon roll on her own
Another milestone

Haiku

Let continue Marks'.............

the milestone set
all work must go forward
where is the manual

here the manual sits in Bill Hough's shop
the fiberglass dust easy to remove
the GT40 build not so easy

Mice in the garage
Nest in my radiator
I need a feline

Sand, fill, sand, fill, sand
Repeat this ad-nauseum
Then do it again

My seven-year build
Will end in 2009
Can't wait to drive it!
