GT40 mk 1,2,4 Monocoque drawings

Hallo everyone.
I glad to be a member to this forum. A lot of people with knowledge how to build a GT40.
My goal is to build my own Monocoque. I have time, tooling. The only thing I need (and that a big thing) are the drawings for the chassis.
I would like to build I close to the original. Are there any one that can help me? Mk4 preferred but the mk1 and 2 should work also.
Take care

There is a small collection on grabcad.com. Do a search there. There are many individuals on this forum that will share some, and some who treat the drawings like the gold of Fort Knox and hoard them.

Good luck with the build.

The Mk4 is very different from the Mk1 and Mk2, doubt you will ever get any Mk4 blueprints. The Mk2 monocoque is a modified Mk1, with the blueprints available you can build quite a bit.

Yes you are right and with honeycomb construction for the mk4 maybe it not the right way to do it if I want to drive it for 30 years ore more. But it is the most beautiful car ever.

You can look up J-car GT40 MkIV Mk4 in chatgpt and ask it for articles, data, technical details, chassis drawings etc., or get a guy in the US to make you a CAD sliced body buck file for plywood and foam… chassis has similarities with mk1/2, but its wider, deeper sills, narrow cockpit. Its some details in the orange book, but these can be found in various archives when you start to investigate more. The information is hard to find, but its out there in old archives, old books (ebay is s good source for old magazines and articles) you just need to put in the time to find it.

Well said Morten . If you can’t put the effort into finding the information yourself, your project will never materialize. Some of these builds are going on 10 years. Mine is or will be a long one as well. Do to my health, I’m sure I will die before it is completed.

Regards Brian

Thank you so much for that information. I love when you have a solution on this
