DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF THE T3 GT-40.............FOUND ONE
WITH 351ENGINE..............FIT FINISH....AND BUILD QUALITY LOOKS SPOT ON TO ORIGINAL,RECTANGLE FRAME,TOP LOAD TRANS!!!!!!!GOOD OR BAD? ANY OTHER INFO OR RECOMENDATIONS.

The T-3 is longer than the original. Also, the dash layout is not the same as an original.

Other than that, it's pretty close. How much are they asking?

I also believe that the windshield is different. Did this particular body originate from the LA Exotics GT40 that floated around a few years ago?

Considering the prices that some nice GTDs and KVAs have sold for in the last year, $37K is WAY TOO HIGH! Find some comparison photos of the cars, and you'll be waiting around for a GTD to become available. The windshield distorts the entire front end of the T3. I agree. LA Exotics apparently did not intend to
duplicate the GT40 shape. It appears they were simply
looking to do a "GT40-like" car, which was a major
miscalculation. If they had simply splashed a mold
off a Tornado or KVA, many more T-3's would have been sold.

Makes we wonder if Factory Five isn't making the same
mistake with their mid engine car. Of course they sell
so many Cobras I doubt one mistake will stop them.

Yes it is ,Melsom bought the car and all molds ,jigs etc etc from Randy Treadwell about two years ago.

I think I still have some of the original T3 press materials around. The shape is only "GT40 Like" and is definitely a departure from the car. The interior is completely different, as has been mentioned. You'd be MUCH better off with any of the other replicas for sale in the same ballpark price - KVAs, GTDs, etc.
