Hi, Another Kiwi Here

Hello

I'm Roy I live in a small town called Temuka in the South Island of New Zealand. I see there's a lot of kiwis already on here

Although I don't have a GT40, I've joined up here because there seems to be a lot of people who know about weber/dellorto carbs. I have a 1979 Holden HZ Ute which I have put a 307 chevy in. Currently fitting new cam (235in/[email protected]" on 110 LSA. Just over .500" lift) and some ported World 305 heads. I want to build a quad Weber manifold for it (which I'll fit after the cam is run in). I'm an engineer and really enjoy making my own parts and tools for my cars/bikes. I'm very interested in drag racing, which I'd like to have a go at once my car is all set up.

Welcome Roy

Good to see another Kiwi here again.

We'll have them all outnumbered soon comrade!

Lots of brain power to be picked at on this site.

Regards

Hi Maurice. No it's not the orange one. I think I know the one you mean though, it's a one tonner? Mine is an unusual light blue color. It has 17" Torque thrust II wheels on it, statesman deville front with gts guards and you'll probably hear it from the other side of temuka lol. It's been off the road for the last few months. I've had no money and pulled diff out (6 cylinder diff). Currently moving the mounts on a 12 bolt chevy to put in it.

Hey Cam. Thanks. Yeah it's really surprising how many are here. I often use another hot rod forum but there's only a couple regular kiwis over there. Yip, I'm here to pick all the brains I can lol. I've learnt a lot about cars from reading, there's so much info available on the net and tech books.

Sounds like you can build fast quality cars in the south, better than what goes on with the Highlanders rugby!!:chug:,welcome from wynboer in Pretoria, Bulls area!

Hi Hendrik. Thanks. Yeah, good things take time and money though. And I don't have a lot of either at the moment lol
