Hi everyone!

Hi fellow GT40 fans,

my name is Lucas, I live in Munich and am a huge fan of the GT40.
I do not yet have one to call my own, but hopefully I will, some day in the future.
At the moment my car of choice is a classic Mini, with an upgraded 1300cc engine (not as quick as a GT40, but nice for mountain roads :) )
Just recently found this forum and read through many posts already and after being able to see, that it is a great forum, full of helpful people I decided to join.

I hope to have a lot of nice chats with you guys and look forward to learn a lot more about you and your cars.

Best regards, Lucas

Ps: if there is someone in the Munich region, who sometimes visits classic car events, contact me, as I am a regular visitor to many major events with our Mini :chug:

Lucas, welcome. My first car was a 1967 1275 Mini Cooper S. Loved it and WOW could that car handle corners. Mine had 10" wheels but mine were 7" wide! Great car but the GT 40 is in another league. Good Luck in your quest.

Thanks, Randy and Jimmy!

You are quite right, Jimmy, the Mini handles extremely well, especialy through Munich
where we have quite often narrow streets, due to people forgetting how to park their cars :)
The best roads for it though, are winding backcountry roads with narrow corners :)
Our Mini puts out about 86-90bhp so it's a lot of fun (and everyone smiles and waves when you go by, especially the kids :))
I know that the GT40 plays in a completely different league and has a different territory.
I have seen only two around here so far, visiting classic car events, both white with blue stripes,
maybe I can find the owner next time and can talk him into giving me a taste of riding shotgun or even just sit in it, I don't even care :D
