"Honey West" TV Show

I recently stumbled across an American TV show from 1965/1966 called "Honey West". It's about a female private detective named Honey West, played by Anne Francis.

The reason why I mention the show is that she drives a 289 Cobra. The third episode begins with a car chase between a Porsche 356, a Jaguar VIII, and the Cobra. So far I've just watched the first three episodes, and this is the best of them. The show is entertaining, but a bit dated. 30 half hour episodes aired before the show was canceled. The network replaced it with "The Avengers".

Loved the car phone too! :) I had one similar to that!

That phone sure made LIGHTNING QUICK 'connections', didn't it! (And evidently it worked w/o an antenna, too!)

Here's a pic of the VHF(!) mobile phone I had back in '78. Some of you will remember P.I. "Dan Tanna" had one of these in his '57 'Bird (scroll down to the white "Pulsar II" phone about 1/2 way down the page):

Anne Francis ("Honey West") drove the white 289 AUTOMATIC Cobra in the series.

Did they "dub in" the 'stick' sounds then? (I dunno. Just asking!)
