HOOD MODS

I am trying to get info on what is involded in getting this look in the hood. By the way , I just purchased Mike Cripes or Dels old car on BAT.

This is the look I like. How is this achieved?

That's Allan's work. He's here on the boards. You'd have to ask him, he does quite a few turnkey builds of the SLC for people.

How is it achieved? Start cutting. Then I’d use divinycell, vinyl ester, silica, a bit of filler and a lot of time.

My car will arrive in the morning and I can share some real world thouhts on a Superlite. On a differant note, I have to say how impressed and excited to converse with some of the people on this website. After being a part of many different groups to car specific some of them are actually not all that friendly. The Superlite family has shown to be sincere and extremely thoughtful, so that has really a nice surprise.

First question is, how can I either convert or add the option to manually open the doors. Call me OLD SKOOL but its a bit concerning to tjhink for whatever reason an electronic fail,, you cannot get out..... thx alot

Our cars came with Autoloc slimline bear claw latches and strikers. The outer and inner door openers were from a nineties Mazda Miata. Do a search on here to find many examples of installation.

Others have designed a pull pin type of release in case of electrical failure.

Start a new thread Blair asking how to install/design pull pins at the front of the doors to manually open them. A few builders designed their own and mentioned it in the past.
