I had forgotten what it was like!

Yesterday I had to take my car from my office garage to another place for storing. I made the move during office hours and fired the car up to get it on the trailer. I am amzed it fired up so quickly having been in storage so long!

So having got the car on the trailer it then took me 15 minutes just to get out the car park as all the local office workers came out to take pictures and chat about the car. Maybe I am too familiar with the car having had it now 14 years but I was quite surprised at the reaction of these people nonetheless. I guess I now take the car for granted when perhaps I shouldn't.

Mind you I couldn't resist putting some tyre marks down the lane when manouvring the car before it went back into its next storage abode. Only to clear the plugs of course....

On sat I started and warmed up J6 to get her ready for spring. Fired right up. Got her good and hot and then it started to snow. Won't be long.

Oh ya! Its 85 Degrees outside right now and I'm still sanding the damn thing. Friging GTD pannel fit lines! A few more weeks and we'll see about paint.

Mileage is now at 25,000 odd. Recently the miles per year has tumbled due to really only doing competition work with the car. In fact I haven't driven it on the road for about three years now. Maybe I should rectify that in the near future.

Longest trip? Well Paul Thompson and I drove it to the Nurburgring and back for a long weekend with our club back in 1994. That was fun. Also I have done early morning runs to competitive events up to 4 hours drive away. They are great fun too so long as there are not too many speed cameras on the route. Leaving home at 4 or 5 am for a run is great and is why some choose not to run trailers still.
