IDA's difference???

Difference between original italian casting vs new casting available actually ,,,

There was also a version of the IDA the had a large raised "W" and the word "Italy" cast on the float bowl. It did not say "Made in Italy", I think there was a time some of the Weber product was being done in Brazil, not sure if the IDA was part of that. The Brass squirters were in the IDAs produced in the 60's, maybe as late as early 70's(??). The current production uses rubber "O" rings on press in squirter assemblies instead of a hollow screw with 2 copper washers, and an aluminum squirter. There is also a "wing" or cast gussett supporting the vertical tube of the Auxilliary Venturi. Lastly screws insted of studs & washers. Alloy seems a little darker too.
