Jimmy I don't think the children were wrongly deported, they were sent here at the bequest of the British Government to escape the blitz. Although the news report said it started in 1618. Poetic license mixing children deported as convicts with those from the blitz
Mr. Crudd apologised because some of them were abused by the institutions they were placed in.
