John Wyre

Does anybody on here know where in Kidderminster John Wyre was born and raised?
He was born on 11th December 1909.
We have been manufacturing GT40 replicas in Kidderminster since 1989 and I never knew that Mr Wyre of JW Automotive was born here.
A customer pointed this out to me the other day and I was blown away.
Also Ronnie Spain told me that the first GT40 he ever saw was at Foley Motors on the Stourport Road in Kidderminster which is only just around the corner from our Factory.
As they say the World is a small place but I would not like to Hoover it.

Andy take a couple of pictures of those places and let us have a look. As a second thought how about a few of your Factory. Yours is the longest-running GT40 factory I would think. That's kinda cool if you think about it.

Just add my two pennies worth. Our Dad used to regularly take me and my brother to look at the cars at Foley Park Motors. I can remember seeing the GT40 there. Lime green it was.

Was John Wyer born and raised in Wyre forest ?

He was Born and raised in Kidderminster.
The Lime Green GT40 ( Chassis P/1003 ex Ford France owned by Guy Ligier ) belonged to Micky Polkmell who owned the Garage.
Its was for sale for ages and in the end he part exchanged it it for a motor home.
