quoted from the build threadsgood afternoon Agostino
wow thank you so much, that's very very helpful
the reason I asked was im searching high and low for detailed drawings of the horseshoe and brace
which I wanted to know how to fabricate.
im now also thinking of doing my build in aluminium so detail is everything for strength
but I am very grateful to you for getting back to me
thank you so much
Car 110 had an aluminum tub and did not work out very well if I remember correctly. Alan Mann cars had aluminum body's , not sure if all Mann cars did. I have set a 20 gauge steel minimum for my build , drawing GT40P-1-2175 would be great if any one had it.
You are correct! Thanks, I was utterly unaware they had, took some finding but out of the run of ~40 MkV's they did two were aluminium!I remember at least one Mk5 being aluminium. I saw it at Silverstone in the 1980s when it just a chassis. I thought they had made a few but maybe it wasn`t a success?
