Just curious what this thin copper line is which is soldered to the top of the fitting. I want to re-clock the fitting and wondering if this is a small hollow tube and I have to be very careful not to kink it or just a solid copper wire.

I appreciate the help.

Hi, in this tube their is a gas inside similar to r134but with different properties, and as this gaz gets heated up in the tube, when compressor is switched of temporarily the pressure gets up and pushes the expansion valve open compressor starts up again ,r134 flows and cools down the compartment .
very fragile, and if the gas escapes its broken and need to be refilled by specialist.
Hope this helps you...

Thanks guys, yes re-clocked it yesterday, It was on super tight but used some long open ended wrenches and was able to loosen it up.
