New to the forums

First off, let me introduce myself.....

My name is Mike, I am 27yrs old and I live in Miami, FL. I have found the site when I was looking through allot of information on the GT40 and decided to join the bandwagon. At the moment, I am just an enthusiast and have been a long time fan to the GT40 name. I mostly like the mk2's, especially those that were powered with 427's. I have driven allot of sports cars since I was 18 yrs old but this car is just the only one that I have yet to experience and enjoy. Hopefully, if I ever get a better job or win the lottery, this will be the first car in my list. Right now, all I know is that I got Pathfinder Motorsports north of me in Melbourne, FL and I am in the works to pay a visit to them when i have my vacation. If anybody has a personal GT40 that is near me that wouldn't mind shedding some info on the car, that will make my day! Beside that, I hope that just being here in the forums will be a pleasant experience and I can get allot of education out of it.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum. If you are interested, I'm working on my RCR Superlite Coupe. The RCR40 shares a bit with the SL-C.
I'm near Melbourne in Palm Bay..about 2 hours from you straight up I-95.

sounds interesting......... I see that you are using an LS1 for your chassis. Definitely will have to go up there and take a look and maybe have lunch when I have the chance to get away from work for a few days. Did you have to do any modifications to the mounts to get that LS1 in?

Mike, PM sent. Chassis has motormount crossmember
welded in. OEM Corvette mounts on engine, solid mounting. Easy!
The RCR chassis & suspension are like jewlery.

very interesting to hear, beside that...... is your LS1 a stock block or is it moddified? I have a friend of mine that has a pontiac trans am that has an LS1 and all he has is just a magicstik cam, slp intake, slp headers and exhaust with a decent tune for nitrous. I can't remember the numbers that he produced but I can say that it was one serious LS1. I rode in that car a few times and everytime I rode in it, it was an adrenaline rush, lol.

Mike,
Slightly modded LS1 to 430HP. Stuck in the chassis again tonight to finalize some plumbing stuff. Took 22 minutes (timed by wifey).
