Newbie here, looking at a GT40 for my next project

Been a classic car guy since I was 16, and my Dad got me started with a 66' Chevelle (still have the car 32 years later!). In addition to the Chevelle I have a 63' Belair wagon with a 409"/ T56 / 9" combo that I've owned for 25 years. Been toying with the idea of doing a mid-engined car for a while now, and after looking at everything from V8 swapped Porsches to Panteras, I'm leaning heavily towards a GT40. Realistically I'm 3 years away from pulling the trigger on anything, there are a few car and home projects I want to wrap up before I spread myself any thinner. This site has been amazing so far for advice on builds and for following build threads.

Thanks,
Eric

Welcome to GT40S Eric. You can spend countless hours going through the builds on this site. The craftsmanship is amazing. The knowledge base here is probably as strong as any forum that I’m aware of. Start yourself a notebook with a section for questions you might come up with and sections for ideas that you see, along with who the builder is. I separated mine with subsections on interior, body, suspension, transaxle and engine. Things change over time so continue to update it.
Post any questions you can think of and I’m sure someone will know the answer.

Please enjoy the forum !!!

Regards Brian
