Oil filter supplier (UK) SBF 302

Hi,
Having trouble finding an oil filter, looking for a K&N PS-2004 or equivalent for a small block ford 302. Ordered from 4x suppliers to date and either not in stock, discontinued or wrong part arriving. I’m after a short 4” can as limited space available. Found a Fram alternative but since read reviews of an ‘orange can of death’? Anyone in the UK know of an alternative product / supplier?

Id rather use a Wix filter like Wix 51085

WIX 51515 which is 1" longer. Fits perfectly in the SPF.

WIX makes a quality oil filter. I would never second guess anyone's decision to use them.

Hi Ady ...... I use FRAM PH8A on my 302 and always have done. Loads of people stock them and easy to find on eBay. The WIX filter is also OK but not so readily available in the UK. Competition Supplies at Silverstone usually stock them.

For what oil filters cost why not just find brand/size/color you prefer on the world wide web, buy a case of them and have them shipped to you. Cost averaging would likely reduce any shipping/duties to a reasonable level when you look at the cost per filter.

The web has been the problem… trying to find one filter never mind some spares. Previous filters I’ve used either not in stock, discontinued or incorrect spec supplied. Local parts stores have nothing available. Trying another supplier for the Wix recommendation. I need a shorter filter than the common FL1A profile.

My 50cents..
Oilfilter is first defense so you don't just want an oilfilter.

Good quality
Good filtration (in micron)
No drainback
Good oil pressure.

Small filter,
Thats Ford EFL90 of its equivalent Mahle Knecht OC236.

If you have room for a larger filter
Thats Ford FL1A or its equivalent the famous Wix 51515.

Personaly I don't care if its not for sale localy or even in my country (the Netherlands).
I order my Wix 51515 at Rockauto and have them shipped to the Netherlands.
I always make sure I have several on the shelf.
I use small & large on all my cars depending on space in the engine bay. If there's not enough space its the small filter.

Ford Motorcraft EFL90 can be found at Burton Power in the UK. I am sure its equivalent Mahle OC236 can be found everywhere.

In my case, I will never use any other brand again.
