OK, you've got me

OK, you\'ve got me

Hi All,

Just joined the forum, have visited quite a few times. Looking for a new project after my 2 sons in college graduate (1 down, 2 to go) in 2 years so I thought that I would start looking now.

Although I am a confirmed GM aholic (mostly Vettes and Trans Ams, heck even my bike has a Chevy ZZ4 crate motor on it), I must confess that the GT 40 looks really interesting. Lots of engine, tranny and suspension options. Ron Earp let me visit his in construction since I live close by. I'd have to lose 25 pounds but that's a possibility. What mfg. has the largest seat (OK, ass) room?

Really interesting site and lots of tech support. I visit lote of sites for V8 bike support, this one is very good for GT 40 support. Who knows, may join you with a GT 40 in a couple of years. Anyone want to take a 76 Eldorado convertible in trade?

Re: OK, you\'ve got me

Steve, it depends on whether you need your "seat room" vertically or horizontally !

I think that RF does a "low floor" option for vertically-enhanced owners, whilst DRB has heaps of room horizontally (central gear shift & narrow tunnel).

I am only a skinny 5'9" so the DRB is fine - my biggest problem will be my test engineer (doing the braking & noise tests for rego next month) - he is a skinny 6'3". I will probably have to "velcro" some foam padding to the top of his head to avoid brain damage !!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.
