This actor of the 1960s never won an Acadamy Award but was nominated once. He did however, design and patent a low slung race car seat in 1969 called the "bucket seat" from the French word, baquet, meaning cockpit. His personal cars included a Porsche 917, 908, and 356 Speedster. He also owned a Ferrari 512, 250 Lusso Berlinetta and a Jaguar D-Type XKSS right hand drive.
