P4 Chassis Painted

Jim, considering Ferrari's fanatical attention to vehicle weight, I would guess that the chassis is formed from 4130 steel, as are many aircraft fuselages and empenages. Am I correct? Also, do you have an idea (in relative terms) how rigid the chassis is?

Chassis is steel. I'll try and find out what kind although that may be hard. It seems pretty rigid esp. when engine is bolted in. It's wild how oil and water flow thru chassis tubes. My P4 engineering books are out with chassis but when I get it all back to NY you can come down and see for yourself.
It's really a work of art...
