MKlVJ6, If you broke your windshield. where would you get a new one? Do you have one for your car?. The car looks like it's turning out nice.

I do have one. It's pretty cool it's mounted into a frame that then screws into the surround and can be removed very quickly for servicing the electrics etc. David Piper from whom I bought this car has a mold in case I break one. There are people in the US who can make windshields. I had Safety Glass windshields made for my MK-IV...

MK-lV J6, Interesting that David Piper owns the mould for the windshield. I understand he owns the mould for the Lola T70 windshield. Are the two pieces of glass the same? they sure look the seme! Are they made at 'Pilkington'?

The Lola windshield is different. Lots of people have molds for that including David. I got the windshield for my Lola from Cris Fox in the UK but now there are sources in the US.

As it is a 1967 it's pretty simple to make it street legal so I will register it. That said I don't think the starting procedure: Squirt Raw fuel into the trumpets, turn on the pumps. When fuel PSI gets to 120 crank with ignition off until oil PSI comes up. Turn on ignition. Retard cam on fuel metering unit. Turn on ignition, crank, and have fire extinguisher standing by. When it fires, warm up, advance fuel metering cam. Close tail, and proceed, will be something that the valet parkers can deal with....
It's about nine months away.
