Received this yesterday regarding a Charity Event being held at RAF Odiham if anyone is interested. I'm at Wiscombe Hill Climb so won't be able to go but thought others might be interested...

Irrespective of individual political views on the war in Afghanistan there is no doubt about the fact that our guys in the Armed Forces are suffering a dreadful loss of life and some of their families are being subjected to unbearable levels of distress while life goes on as normal for most of us and are we continue to play with our cars of some of the world’s greatest circuits.
This coming Sunday we all have the chance to have some fun whilst making a worthwhile contribution to the charity which supports Service personnel and their families with 100% of the taking being donated to Help the Heroes, everyone from RMA, five time Le Mans Winner Derek Bell and the Marshals will be working for nothing, the RAF are laying on a fabulous lunch, (click here to view) a private flying display from the amazing Chinook, Karting, static helicopter displays with guns fitted and a whole lot more. Porsche are providing a hot lap car for Derek and Caterham are coming along with their R500 of Top Gear fame and running a Slalom Competition with a bottle of Champagne for the fastest time of the day providing they can beat their female instructors’ time.
There will be other hot lap cars and we are still working on a couple of other surprise attractions but can assure you, it will be a fun filled day.
WE WANT TO RAISE £25,000 AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
The timings for the day are as follows:
0730 main gate open for arrivals – there will be a second gate open for 'low-slung' cars and also to reduce the burden on the main gate.
0830 welcome brief by Stn Cdr to include a presentation on the role of the Station
0840 safety brief from RMA to include flag meanings and emergency procedures
0855 final brief from RAF Odiham to include a weather brief and damage/insurance brief.
0900 track open for familiarisation
0930 or as required, open pit lane.
1200-1330 lunches available in the briefing room
1230-1330 track closed for sweeping and damage check
1700 Track closes
