RCR40 guys - need a measurement please

As my car is an hour's drive from here - I need to get a measurement from it and can't.

Can someone give me a depth of the Battery compartment please? I need to know how much room is inside the sponson from the top edge to the bottom. I'm building a swirl-pot (for the other side) as well as fuel pickups.

It's not perfectly level but it is more or less 8" to the bottom.
