I used part number 90125K58 from McMaster Carr which is 1/4” thick x 1” wide neoprene rubber on the frame rails beside, under, and in front of the tank as well as on my tank brackets holding it in place. I fastened it in place with contact adhesive if I remember correctly.
Gonna be honest, I went the cheap and easy route. Silas Sound deadening, two layers, it’s about 1/4 butyl rubber. Layered the entire fuel area in this, with a couple 1/4 holes drilled in the bottom in case of a fuel leak.
