In some cases, like a wrecking yard, they don't have pics and it can be quite problematic without a year and model. I lost a whole day driving 50 miles looking for a wiper motor out of a Saab because I didn't have year/model, never did find it. Not going through that again.

Mine came with the car. I was told it was an early to mid-80s Corolla shifter. Sorry I don't have the specifics The ball pivot arms came with it and appear to be stock. I threaded the ends and mated them using a coupler nut and locknuts.

As for chasing specific parts, been there, done that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
