I've never used a vacuum advance always a total advance locked down. I've had a couple small block 427s and set them total advance at 34 degrees. Keep in mind when you run it up to set it, it's not at 2,500 or 4,000 rpm but where ever it stops advancing then turn it to 32 or 34 where ever you want to set it and lock it down.Thanks Jac
I just thumbed through the documents for the car and found that the engine supplied (in 2014) was a Ford Crate motor, number M6007-X427FRT

You're right, in that it states "Ignition timing: 32° at 4,000 RPM"
