While researching which Shuttle Launch to visit Florida & watch, I came across the crew of the next shuttle STS-131 and saw the Bio of the Pilot!

To quote my wife: he looks 12 years old!
Looking at his Special Honours, he seems like a right Top Gun!

Hi David,
Current thinking is for STS-132 on 14th May with STS-134 on July 29th as reserve. I don't want to leave it till the last one as I suspect that it will have huge media hype associated with it and may be more difficult to get close to launch.
Currently keeping an eye on 131 to note any further delays as proposed launches seem to have a habit of changing.:uneasy:

Change of plan.Off to Florida tomorrow to (hopefully) watch Discovery on STS-131. Looks like go for Monday morning. Everything crossed!

Monday should be a beautiful launch day. Weather expected to be warm & sunny with a mild breeze. I watch from the front of my house. Spectacular, every one!

I have seen a night launch and it's an incredible sight. I will never forget how the sky lit up. The amount of energy is amazing!
