self inflating tyres? useful or rubbish?

Just received this in a mag I get.

Is this the end to checking tyre pressures?
does this mean that tyres pressures become temperature independant?
or does this mean you have no control over tyre pressures on your vehicle?

what do you think?

Interesting idea

Now what happens if the dipstick tyre fitter fits the tyre to the wrong side of the vehicle? It ends up deflating your tyre?
