SL-C for sale BAT

very cool build. only 24 miles since the engine was installed, I can see lots of sorting to be done before the car is reliable. Unless you have really detailed build documentation, it is a very tough task . Ask me how i Know :-)

Not surprising that they gave on the GT3 engine - on my 917 build I contemplated doing a porsche engine to try to be more authentic. When I saw what I got (not much!) for the cost ($$$$$) I was like 'oh hell no', lol ...... really makes you appreciate how cheap (and reliable!) a good old fashioned 700hp pushrod V8 is

Just with a brief overview, the front wheel wells are way too high, there are no air ducts of any kind, those look like the stock fans that came with the kit. the battery is right in front of the air flow and the front clam aft air flow opening is stock. the rear clam window does not have any vents. Better not drive the car in Texas or over 90 degrees, race track or spirited driving in the summer? Forget about it. The car will overheat for sure. the BAT winning bidder will get a great deal, but probably has no idea what he is getting into, Anticipate lots of questions here real soon.

Let's take a quick vote on the first question the winner will have. I vote for -Hey guys what is the normal coolant temperature of an LS 6.0 liter engine?

I don't think it will overheat - i'm using the stock Amazon 'evil energy' fans and have a solid rear carbon fiber clam with a big heads/cam LS3 and have never once had any water temp issues. That said maximum ambient temps I've driven in are around 90*F so if you're in some crazy place that hits triple digits maybe it isn't good enough, but for normal people weather it's okay.

i'd be more concerned about why the stainless braided AN hoses on his oil pan are using worm drive clamps.

great point about the AN hoses . I am just saying the combination of the batter being in the way of air flow, using the standard rear opening of the front clam most people have enlarged the opening quite a bit , myself included, doing some airflow calculations it does not seem the opening is large enough to achieve the disred flow through the radiation. The ratio of air intake vs outtake surface area is way off , ducting to avoid turbulent flow is also very helpful. All those items combined may create a problem. I am pretty sure other people have experienced that . Thats' why most cars have the large opening modification done on the front clam, as well as ducting of some sort.
