Even tho I love 'em (S8 and tt) this holds true for Audi's as well.

Ours was a TT. Never COULD get that thing to run right. 'Took it to the dealer 3 times trying.

(Each time meant making a 200+ miles round trip. )

Twice burned is twice LEARNED.
The Mrs now drives a Malibu LTZ! She r-e-f-u-s-e-s to drive ANY high end 'luxomobile' now. 'Gun shy.
She LOVES the LTZ...36,000 miles and it runs like the day we bought it.
ZERO issues.
