Southern Run + Meet 6th Sept

Quick story ( pls ask for more details if needed).
Run + meet with a twist: 4 start points converging 1 venue = Bentley Wildfowl/Motor Museum nr Lewes, Seussex.
Invites open to all non mass produced cars, be it a gt40 styled car, cobras, caterhams etc etc.
Idea is to give those that join in the chance to perhaps meet other like minded folks who may actually live just round the corner! also gives owners who may not be part of a large club the chance to get involved!
4 start points are: 7oaks, guildford, caterham + brighton. start times will differ slightly as aiming for cars to arrive 11 ish at Bentley. Clubs or owners that are still too far from the start points are welcome to make their own way to venue. But would be grateful if anyone interested could let me know as trying to keep an idea of rough numbers.....so far assuming fair weather then 30-35 owners/cars shown positive interest, with i think more to follow.

Well done Frank! Could i make a small request pls could you be kind enough to drop me a note when you've a rough idea of numbers to markgreen450'googlemail.com ( taken the @ out as you can see replace the '). i just want to keep a rough tally so that the venue has no nast shocks. also, i want to try to negotiate with them. currently is £5 pp. perhaps if we get enough definites we can get a small concession.

Hi Frank, not wanting to be a pain - but how are you getting on rounding up your compadres? had a few takers for this? just a quick update - as at this morning i've had just over 40 takers, and hopeful for another 10+ to be confirmed over the next couple of days following a couple of club meets. it would be great to see a few GT40's taking part - one of my personal favorites, not just the beautiful lines of the car but the story and history as well! i know that some of your fellow owners take part in the Brighton Trials, if by chance any of them are joining you - grateful if you could point them out , as would very much like to chat to them about that....it's getting more and more difficult tracking this event across so many message boards - so please feel free to email me [email protected]

updated. just to confirm that this event is still happening. so far approx 50 owners of various marques........timing will be to get to Bentley for 11.00 ish, thats when the various runs will arrive. Had a bit of sponsorship from Opie oils who are giving all attendees an extra discount over and above any club discounts that are in place as well as a prize to be raffled. I just wanted to say a public - thank you to Frank and his team, they were kind enough to bring out some lovely cars that really added something special to our day. i've talked to a few folks today who really enjoyed their day out and who made mention of the GT's.....so thanks Frank.
As to the day itself we ran it exactly as envisaged, various start points for those that wanted to convoy down to Bentley and a number that made the journey themselves or with their own clubs.
In total i'm told there were 78 cars there ( i gave up counting at 60 as that was 10 more than i'd reckoned on ). We will do something along similar lines next year and it would be great to tempt out a few more 40's
For those of you taking part at Brighton next week i wish you all well.
