Steering Lock Stop

How are you guys sorting out your steering lock stop? Any pics would help. At the moment I have the tyres rubbing hard up against the bodywork on full lock. Thanks.

Hi Murray

I made some split spacers to go inside each end of the rack on Maxiboys car. I think I waisted the centre section of the spacer and fitted a hoseclip round it. Let me know if you need more info.

Brian.

I always use a split collar inside the rack ends...you can find them in metric and inch sizes, and they can be bored to suit your rack shaft diameter..usually I use aluminum as it is a bit softer and easily sized. Check any industrial supply and you will find them.

Brian, Phil and Julian, many thanks for your input, the answer is totally different than what I had in mind, I envisioned a physical stop on the moving parts of the hub carrier or something, see daft as a brush!! :pepper:
This makes much more sense!!
Thanks
